See where these experiences sit alongside my study and technical work.
Outside the lecture theatre
Sport, student communities and making university a place where more people can take part. These are a big part of my time at Bath.

01 / Sport
I returned to trampolining after a five-year break, having competed for nine years when I was younger. I’m also a qualified SUTL judge, having judged at around six competitions. Competing and judging give me two different perspectives on the same sport.
I also ran the Bath Half Marathon in a cow costume for Student Minds, raising over £200. It was physically and mentally demanding, and crossing the finish line meant a lot.
02 / Starting something
As Founder and Chair, I lead an eight-person committee organising cocktail and mocktail workshops, social events and member communications. Founding a society means doing the practical work as well as coming up with ideas: getting people involved, planning events and following through.
03 / Student voice & opportunity
I’m the elected Academic Representative for Mathematics and Physics for 2026/27, after representing approximately 120 Physics students. I’m also an elected SUmmit member, contributing to discussions about the student experience and SU policy.
As an Outreach Ambassador, I’ve delivered 20+ campus tours and helped co-organise two days of Beginning at Bath for approximately 40 prospective students. Having first attended the programme myself, returning to help deliver it felt particularly meaningful.
The Vice-Chancellor’s Breakfast and The 93% Club’s Social Mobility Factory reinforced my interest in access to networks and decision-making spaces. I’ve also been approved as a STEM Ambassador and helped pack welcome bags as a Freshers’ Week Captain.

04 / The route here
I’m adopted, autistic and have ADHD. That background is part of why widening participation, accessibility and student voice matter to me.
I’ve spoken publicly about how meaningful it felt to be invited to the Vice-Chancellor’s Breakfast. Access to university is one part of the story; having opportunities to contribute, build confidence and be heard once you arrive matters too.
Beginning at Bath is a particularly tangible connection: I attended as an incoming student, then returned as an Outreach Ambassador to help welcome the next group. My academic representation and SUmmit roles are other ways I’m taking part in the university community.

05 / Volunteering
I’m now a qualified Bath Marrow volunteer. I work at donor-recruitment stands, helping people sign up to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register.
About Marrow and the register ↗
I volunteered at Bath City Football Club as part of a team helping wrap more than 5,000 Christmas presents for children in Ukraine. Friends of Oleksandriya and the University of Bath were involved in the event.
